OVERVIEW

As a UI Designer at Monitise, this was one of my first and most high-profile projects at the agency. The app itself offers football fans a comprehensive, real-time experience, including live scores, match highlights, and exclusive FIFA content.

I was given the responsibility of leading the design for the 'Explore' section, which highlighted FIFA’s educational initiatives in developing countries. This section was unique in that I had the freedom to adopt a more photographic, visually immersive approach.

It also created the opportunity to introduce some simple yet engaging interactive challenges. I collaborated closely with the UX team to defined the structure and mechanics of these challenges to create an intuitive and engaging user experience. I then designed all the key visuals, assets and style guides. I learned a lot on this one.

DYNAMIC ANGELS

The visual design of the 'Explore' section was led by the full-bleed photography, setting it apart from the data-driven tables and charts found in other sections of the app. I took the dynamic angles from the logo and used these as the framing device for each top level topic. A horizontal swipe interaction (with a nice parallax) allows users to navigate back and forth between topics and then a pinch to expand interaction allow users to delve even deeper into a topic.
